The Silicone Fabrics is the most conformable, flexible, trackable, and wear resistant product line. This is made from woven fiberglass substrates that have been coated on one or both sides with silicone rubber. These fabrics provide a higher friction surface with different release qualities than coated fabrics. Available in multiple colors and with multiple plies, (up to three), these Silicone Fabrics are used in applications where a surface grip with excellent release is desired.
Characteristics
Fabrics are engineered to retain the distinctive properties of silicone, but by adding a glass fabric to the matrix, AFC is able to obtain the added benefits of dimensional stability, durability, excellent tensile strength and low elongation. We have received USDA approval for food processing and handling, and are FDA compliant. In addition, the Silicone Fabrics can operate in temperatures from -100°F to 500°F (-73°C to 302°C).
